Virtual Space II

                                                                 Prologue  
     What I last recall happened ever since I started this journey was Gandalf getting pulled down by the Balrog of Morgoth and then he Vanquished.

                                                                  Story  

     Now my group of Brittney Johnson, the elf, myself Ryan Williams, the warrior, Hadhod, the dwarf, and Elegost, the ranger of the Dunedain. We have just gotten out of Moria and are now in the East Emmett Gullies just outside of Rohan.

   As soon as we got into the Gullies we were attacked by some uruk-hai which are some of the nastiest creatures in all of Middle Earth. We were then found by Alder an elf of Lothlorien who said. "I will assist you in finding your way out of the Gullies if you help me find the rest of my caravan. We went a good distance until we reached the uruk-hai camp where we had found Gandalf whose robes had changed from gray to white which meant he was now a superior wizard.

   "Look we have found the uruk-hai camp where they have trapped a Rohan warrior and are eating his steed." I said as the group and I started charging the camp. There were so many of them luckily Brittney, Hadhod, Elegost, Alder, and I fought valiantly and we ended up saving the solider and defeated the uruk-hai. 
   After we saved the fallen solider we then noticed that we were in the outskirts of Rohan, home of the horse lords. "Look a warrior is in trouble we must help her." Brittney said right as we had just entered the a village that was burning to the ground. After that nasty battle with some well trained uruk-hai, we were talking to the warrior and she told us her name was Morwen. She said that she was one of the few left in this town that had not died, or fled.
   "What is it that makes you strong warrior?" Elegost asked her as we were about to enter on of Saruman the whites warg caves. 
   "Honor, valor, and a few trinkets." Morwen said. We headed into the warg cave. The warg is a nasty half wolf/dog creature that is so relentless. As we were about to exit the warg cave a huge mama warg came out and bit me and then I was paralyzed. Once I woke up I saw the mother warg with an arrow in it showing it was killed. Elegost and Hadhod picked me up and carried me a little ways until we saw Sharku leader of the warg pack. 
     We finished off Sharku and then we found a former Rohan guard named Eaoden and he said that he will accompany us on our quest. We entered into the city of Edoras which is the capital of Rohan and we came here to save Theoden King from Saruman's servant Grima Wormtounge. 
     "Look my King they have come here to overthrow you." Grima said slyly. 
     "No Grima you are a filthy worm and we are here to get you out of Rohan for good." Brittney said in the most harsh tone I had ever heard her. We battled Grima and his little uruk-hai minions because he knew he could not take us on himself.
     "Look the worm lives and he is escaping." Morwen said as Grima bolted out of the hall.
     "Leave him his hold over this land is broken." Hadhod said.
     We finally arrived at our destination in Helm's Deep and we saw all the women and children in the cellars while all the men were ready to help in the fight. "Who are you?" The temple guard asked a band of elves right in front of the gate.
     "Rohan helped us in our time of need now we are ready to do our part." Alder the leader of the elves said. I went in search of Legolas, the skilled archer, Gimli, the dwarf with a temper, and Aragorn the heir to the throne of Gondor, because they will help us in this time of need. All of them were skeptical about the plan and they said that no one will make it out alive and that there will be no hope for us.
     Now at night fall it was pouring rain and the uruk-hai were charging at us. The group and I went down to help Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli and while we were fighting with them it was not so hard but then we had to fight alone. Suddenly, I felt this pain in my body like something had happened to me when nothing did and the I said "I fear no one, I will fight."
     After the huge battle I found out from Brittney that the pain/stupidity I had was due to the control of Saruman. I then heard from her that at the end of the carnage his hold over me was broken.


                                                                 Epilogue
     We will go to Minas Tirath home of Gondor, fight a fell beast and face the boss.
    

My showcase assignment

   My top three posts, are The Split and Then the Glue, Anakin the Sports Star, and Virtual Space. I like the Split and Then the Glue because it tells a story about something that happened in my life that was tragic. I also like Anakin the Sports star because it just shows this college man who has to choose between sports or the love of his life. The reason why I loved Virtual Space is because it tells a story like the Lord of the Rings and it is about this person being in a video game.
   My post that shows a great deal of creativity, is My Perfect World. It shows a lot of creativity because it states what the world I would love to have if I could choose every factor.
   The posts that show my growth, as a writer, are  Anakin the Sports Star, and Virtual Space again. The reason being is because when I finished writing Anakin the Sports Star I had so much dialogue by so many different people that I did not put a paragraph  in between each change in the person talking. While in Virtual space I fixed that and after every change in the person talking I put a paragraph.
   The post that shows that I am a thinker, is Tell Tale Heart Project. I say that because in the story it is told from the guy that killed the old man and his point of view. In my story though I told it from the old man's perspective, which I had never done to a story, changing the perspective of it.
  

Virtual space

   "Whoa where am I?" I thought as I was in a random space not knowing where I am. (Boom). "What was that?" I asked. Then I thought back to the first thing I remembered when everything made sense. I was at home telling my family about my day today, told them I had a new job offering, and then I remember nothing from that.

 
   "Get down man, do you want your head blown off?"

   (thud) "Who are you?" I asked the foggy figure.

   "I am Brittney Johnson and I am an elf from this land. Now that we have cleared that up who, or what are you?"

   "I am Ryan Williams and I am a human from Earth."

   "It is a pleasure to meet you Ryan Williams,"she said. "Just as I hope you have suspected we are in a video game with almost no way out of here unless you can beat the boss and get to where you are at level 99 which has never been done."

   "That does not seem hard," I said confidently.

   "Oh yeah I forgot two things."

   "What is that?" Then she said two things that made this game nearly impossible, the boss Sauron is at level 150 and that you have to reach level 99 in only 10 lives, oh joy to the world.

   "I have an idea," I said, "how about if we team up and face him together and both reach lvl. 99 together, how does that sound?"

   "Like a great idea," I said.

 
   Then I started surveying the plain and then saw three goblins that were at lvl. 5 while I was at lvl.1, does this sound as bad of an idea to you as it does to me? "What do I do?" I asked Brittney.

   "You're a warrior so you have like a sword or a dagger or something."

   "Hello lovelies," I said to the goblins as they were charging at me like wild beasts. (Shing) I pulled out the sword from its scabbard and sliced the three enemies in half. (Beep, beep, beep) The game said showing as I had leveled up three times to lvl. 4. "Whoa! What just happened?" I said as I suddenly felt stronger, faster, and more aware of what happened.

   "Do you know what just happened Ryan?" Brittney asked.

   "No what is that?" I said confused not understanding why she was so excited.

   "You just leveled up after your first battle not many do that most normally get wasted on there first battle, say let me see that sword you have there." I was confused at first but then handed her the sword and she just looked at it. "Ryan," Brittney said like she was astonished.

   "Yes what is it?"

   "This sword is made of the finest steel in Lothlorian which has the finest sword makers in all the realm."

   After traveling around in this strange virtual planet I was at lvl.25 and Brittney was at lvl.29 due to her vanquishing a lvl.35 mountain troll with her special magic. Now her and I are traveling through Eastern Moria where we met a ranger named Elegost and a dwarf named Hadhod which are both at lvl.23. Moria is the home to the dwarf and he has just found out that his whole clan except for one other named Gimli were vanquished. In Moria there is this huge creature made of fire that will block us from exiting. Luckily we have had a wizard named Gandalf, ranger named Aragorn, and elf named Legolas, and a few hobbits leading us and by the time we get there we will meet with them and the creature.

 
   "There the gray wizard is in trouble," Brittney said as she saw the wizard about to fight the Balrog of Morgoth.  We traveled down the stairs that were about to cave in on themselves, then suddenly.(Boom, boom)

   "Look a drummer troll and a cave troll which are servants of the evil Sauron block our path," Elegost said.  After that battle I was at lvl. 30, Brittney was at lvl.30, Elegost was at lvl.28, and Hadhod was at lvl.28. Then we went to face the Balrog and he was so skilled at battle, he had defeated everyone in my group except Gandalf who was helping us. At the end we all heard Gandalf say

   "You shall not pass" as he broke the bridge killing the Balrog. (Whip) The Balrog snapped his whip grabbed Gandalf and then dragged him down where he ended up killing it for good.

Anakin the Sports Star

    Anakin Organa has had a great 4 years at the University of Connecticut. He is the starting first baseman for the Huskies and has hit 35 homeruns this year. He is also this huge basketball star and plays shooting guard for them and has lead both teams to the finals.
    Anakin is also very good at school, he has a 3.8 GPA and is the school’s valedictorian. He does so well in school to where he was the tutor of this girl named Juno. They ended up going out and both are about to graduate. Anakin just has one problem, he has to choose between playing basketball or playing baseball. Both sides have great reasons for him to join. With basketball he will most likely be chosen by the Miami Heat who have the first pick in the draft, also that is where Juno has gotten offered a job to be a teacher. With baseball though he would get paid a lot more money by the Boston Red Sox who have the first pick in the draft also. What is the poor sports star to do?
    He goes and talks to Juno and tells her the situation. She was mad at first because to her it wouldn’t have even been an option, but then after thirty minutes of arguing she saw why it was a choice. Anakin then said “ you are the most sensible person I know and I also believe that you will make the right decision.” “Well no matter how much I want to go to Miami I think it would be better for both of us if we go up to Massachusetts so that way we can be together and you can live your dream of being the best baseball player ever" Juno said. “Ok I will go get ready to go graduate tomorrow and then we can move up to Boston.
     It is the day of the MLB draft and they are getting ready to announce the first pick. “The first pick in the 2012 MLB draft chosen by the Boston Red Sox is... Luke Johnson 3rd baseman of the University of Connecticut  Huskies” said the announcer. “What my roommate, best friend, and teammate got picked before Me what is this?” I asked. "The second pick pf the 2012 draft picked by the New York Yankees is... Anakin Organa.” “Yes I said in my mind now I get to face my new rival.” But then I realized a terrible thing, Juno is going to Boston and I am going to New York, oh this is a disaster.
     “Juno I have bad news” I said. “What is it?” Juno said now looking  very sad. “I got picked by the Yankees and I have to go to New York.” “So I guess this is goodbye then” Juno said now bawling her eyes out. “I guess it is. Goodbye my love.” I said exiting the room.
